Preflight Checklist
1.
Ensure GCS client has been preloaded with up to date maps of the flight area.
2.
Ensure GCS client has a complete and validated flight plan defined and ready for upload.
3.
Follow all steps in the Preflight Checklist section of the RangePro RPX8-P Manual Flight Checklist.
4.
If required, ensure payload GPS cable is installed and has freedom of movement.
5.
Select desired flight plan and upload, checking for “Syncing Mission” and “Done” prompt.
6.
Double check all altitudes and command prompts, if changes are made you must upload again.
7.
Toggle between plan view and camera view, make sure plan is visible and camera is operational.
Perform the Mission
1.
Slide bar to “Start Mission”
2.
Be aware of automatic aircraft calibration at 5–10 meters/15–30 feet AGL.
– Unit will pitch, roll, and wobble for a few seconds.
– Take emergency action if it does not stop on its own.
3.
Verify via the video downlink that camera orientation commands are being obeyed.
4.
Verify that aircraft climbs to desired altitude at each way point.
5.
Verify that aircraft is flying the flight plan as intended, maintaining altitude, course, and heading.
6.
Continue to monitor the aircraft telemetry throughout the mission.
Completing the Mission
1.
Aircraft completes mission and, if programmed to RTH/RTL, returns to launch area.
2.
Verify landing area is clear of people and debris, aircraft will land and disarm.
3.
If required, make slight lateral adjustments during descent to ensure the aircraft lands in a preferred loca-
tion.
4.
Mission complete.
5.
Remember to “clear vehicle mission” before performing another flight, manual or automated.
