button) and
the moment blood should flow into the bag. If this time is exceeded, an alarm will
sound. If set to 00:00, the post venipuncture flow delay alarm is disabled and no
audible low flow alarm will be given until the first blood is collected.

each minute. In this way, more blood might be donated but the risk

When collecting blood in tubes before donation, this is normally done
on the venipuncture screen. On that screen, an extra button will be
shown which should be pressed between venipuncture and the
collecting of the blood tubes. In this way, both actions can be timed.
These durations are recorded into the donation data.
