TOMEs connection
A TOMEs network connects one or more Terumo BCT transfusion devices with TOMEs, the
dedicated central computing system. TOMEs can also be connected to a customer’s
network. TOMEs can be accessed via a web browser on the computers which are connected
to the
customer’s network. Via the customer’s network, TOMEs can also be connected to a
Blood Bank Information System (BBIS) for bi-directional communication.
TOMEs adds following functionality to T-RAC II:
•
Collecting and viewing donation data (this is done automatically when a network
connection is present).
•
Configuring multiple T-RAC II devices at once.
•
Monitoring of the T-RAC II devices.
•
Sending donation-specific settings to T-RAC II, based on information from a BBIS (bi-
directional communication).
To connect T-RAC II to the network:
1.
Make sure that the correct communication settings are filled-in (see chapter 7.3),
according to your network.
2.
Make sure that the Ethernet functionality of T-RAC II is enabled.
3.
For wired Ethernet connection: connect the Ethernet cable (CAT5 UTP or better) to
the port indicated as follows. Wired Ethernet connection is possible both on T-RAC
II Ethernet and T-RAC II Wifi.
4.
For wireless Ethernet connection (only on T-RAC II Wifi), follow the steps as
described in chapter 13 .
