  DAB SCANNING

When  first  used,  your  radio  scanned  the  DAB  band  for 
available  stations.  The  station  services  found  were  then 
stored in your radio’s memory.
You can re-scan the band at any time if you move to a different 
area or just to refresh the stored list of available stations.
There are two types of scan available - Quick Scan to scan the 
local bands in your region or Full Scan to scan all available 
bands.

TO START A SCAN

Switch on the radio and select the DAB band.

Press the

SCAN

 button 

briefly

 to start a Quick Scan or 

press and 

hold

 the 

SCAN

 button to start a Full Scan.

The scan will start after a short delay.

  SLEEP MODE

THE SLEEP FUNCTION

The Sleep function allows you to program your radio to switch 
itself off after a set period of 90, 60, 30 or 10 minutes.

To activate the Sleep function:

Press the 

• 

SLEEP

 button.

The display will show Sleep 90 mins.

Now  press  the 

• 

SLEEP

  button  repeatedly  until  your 

required sleep time appears on the display.

After a few seconds the Sleep display will disappear and ‘SLEEP’ 
will appear on the display.

Your  radio  will  continue  to  play,  then  will  set  to  Standby 
when the sleep time expires.

To cancel the Sleep function once set:

Press the 

• 

SLEEP

 button once during Sleep mode.

The display will show ‘Sleep off’.

A bargraph shows scan progress. When the scan is completed,  
the number of services found is displayed.

  MANUAL DAB TUNING

It is also possible to tune the DAB band manually. Manual 
tuning is not recommended in normal listening.

TO TUNE MANUALLY

Press and hold the

Manual Tune is displayed.

Press the 

• 

SELECT

 button.

Press the 

•

 or 

[

 button to step through the multiplex 

channels. 

If stations are available on the multiplex channel in your area, 
the name of the multiplex will be displayed and the first station 
in the multiplex will begin to play.

To select another station:

Press the 

• 

SELECT

 button to select the multiplex.

Press the 

• 

]

 or 

[

 button.

The name of the station playing will be shown, next to the 
position of the station in the multiplex.

To exit manual tuning:

Press the 

• 

SELECT

 button.

The radio will return to tune from the station list.
