TestEquity 101H Temperature/Humidity Chamber
Humidity Water System
This chamber has a built-in close-loop water recirculation system to provide clean water to the
humidity system. If you choose to operate the chamber in a stand-alone mode without any
plumbing, the internal reservoir must be filled initially with supermarket-grade distilled water or
deionized water. Condensate is pumped through a deionizer filter and returned to the reservoir.
The chamber does not need to be plumbed to a drain.
If you plumb the chamber to a source of deionized water, a float valve will always maintain 1.5
gallons of water in the internal reservoir. The water recirculation system remains operational.

Water Fill (when no plumbing is used)
Unscrew the black plastic cover on the top of the chamber and fill the water reservoir with 1 to 2
gallons of supermarket-grade distilled water or deionized water.
Do not use unfiltered tap
water! Do not use lab-grade double-distilled water!
Plumbed Water Supply (optional installation method)
Attach your water supply hose to the 1/4" NPT Water Inlet fitting on the back of the chamber.
The water supply must be regulated to 50 psi or less and contain a shut-off valve.
The water
must be filtered through a customer-supplied Deionizer filter to remove the mineral
content. The water filter on the chamber does not filter the water from a plumbed supply,
it only filters the condensate back to the internal reservoir. Do not use unfiltered tap water!
Do not use lab-grade double-distilled water!
Maintenance Drain
A 1/2" NPT Maintenance Drain fitting is located on the back of the chamber. It is only used to
drain the internal water reservoir for maintenance purposes. Water does not come out of this
drain during normal chamber operation, even with a plumbed water supply. See “How to drain
the reservoir” in the Maintenance section of this manual for more details.
