Length of Envelope
The Shoulder Immobilizer can be used both for the left and the right arm.
Taking Measurements
Chose the right size according to the
length of the patient‘s forearm,
including the hand.
Scope of Delivery
Shoulder Immobilizer, shoulder strap,
waist strap, user manual.
Application/Adjustment
1.
Attach the included shoulder strap by lea-
ding it through the strap loop and fastening
it with the hook-and-loop closure. Then
position the patient‘s arm in the envelope
(immobilizer). Make sure that the patient‘s
elbow is bent at a right angle (Fig. 1).
2.
Adjust the length of the shoulder strap so
the patient’s elbow is bent at a 90° angle,
and the patient’s arm is fastened to the
patient’s torso. To do so, pull the shoulder
strap across the back of the patient’s neck
to the front, leading it through the loop
strap and fastening it with the hook-and-
loop closure (Fig. 2).
3.
Close the waist strap to fasten the
patient’s arm to their body. If the waist
strap I is not required, it can be taken off.
Please note:
The immobilizer comes
with two straps of different lengths.
The shorter one is the shoulder strap,
and the longer one is the waist strap.
