Setup and connection
Unpacking
• Carefully open the box and lift out the speakers with the EPE
foam parts without reaching into the diaphragms.

Note
Our website contains comprehensive notes for correct
setup.
• The location of the subwoofer can be freely selected and
does not influence the other speakers. However, do not place
it in the corner of the room as this may result in irregular
frequency overloads. A location between the front speakers
is often ideal.
• Select a stable, level base.
• Make sure that the speaker has a stable position to prevent
vibrations.
• Make sure that the environment is clean and free from dust.
• Avoid placing the unit close to sources of heat or in direct
sunlight.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the cables or the speak-
ers.
Connecting

Arrange the cables so that they do not pose a
trip hazard.
1. Disconnect the power plug of your Impaq receiver from the
socket.
2. Run a speaker cable from your Impaq receiver to the
subwoofer. Use a high-quality double wire speaker cable with
marked strands for this. The cross-section should amount to
at least 1.5 mm

3. The speaker connector terminals “Speakers” are located on
the back side of your Impaq receiver. Connect the speaker
cable to the subwoofer terminals here. See the operating
instructions for the device for more information.
Make sure the polarity is correct!
Connect the terminals of the same colour or polarity
each. Otherwise the sound quality will suffer.
A connecting panel with two terminals is located on the back
side of the subwoofer. Connect the speaker cable there.
The terminals are each marked red (+) and black (–).
Note
This unit cannot be used with . PreOut outputs
(Cinch) of ordinary AV receivers.
