Cleaning the Cabinet
Clean the cabinet, panel and controls with a soft cloth slightly
moistened with a very mild detergent solution or a plain very
slightly damp cloth. Do not use any type of abrasive pad,
scouring powder, or solvents, such as alcohol or benzene. Also
be extra gentle when cleaning the mirror lens on the front of
the set.
•
Before playing, make sure the disc is clean. If not, clean the
disc with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the DISC in a straight motion
from the centre out.
•
If you can not wipe off the dust with a soft cloth, wipe the disc
lightly with a slightly moistened soft cloth and finish with a dry
cloth.
•
Do not use solvents such as benzene, thinner, commercially
available cleaners or anti-static spray intended for vinyl LPs.
•
Never put the DISC on a hard surface or table or counter top
(you may permanently damage it).
On Handling DISCs
•
Do not touch the playback side (silver or gold side) of the
disc. Even fingerprints can cause playback problems. Of
course, you should also avoid scratching the disc. Do not
place the disc on any hard surface.
•
Do not attach paper or tape to any side of the disc.
On Storing DISCs
•
Do not store the discs in a place subject to direct sunlight
or near heat sources.
•
Do not store discs (or the set) in places subject to moisture
and dust such as a bathroom or near a humidifier.
•
Store discs vertically in their case.
Stacking or placing
objects on discs outside of their cases may cause warping
or scratching of the disc, and may permanently damage the
disc.

NOTE
: If the playback side gets scratched, it may not play
any more.
Be careful and store discs in their cases imme-
diately after use.

Disc Installing Precautions
•
Do not leave the DVD HOME
heat source, or in a place subject to direct sunlight, excessively
dusty rooms or rooms with very high humidity.
•
Do not surface the DVD HOME
or unstable surface.
•
Do not place anything within 2.5 cm from the sides or 5 cm
from the back of the cabinet. The ventilation holes must not
be covered for the player to operate properly and prolong
the life of its components.
•
If the player is brought directly from a cold to a warm location,
or is placed in a very damp room, moisture may condense
on the lens inside. Should this occur, the player may not
operate properly. In this case, remove the disc and wait about
an hour for the moisture to evaporate. If the player has not
been used for a long time, turn the POWER button to ON to
warm it up for a few minutes before inserting a disc. The
internal fan will adjust the temperature.
•
Do not install more than 1 disc into the disc tray.
•
Do not place the disc on the tray up-side down (unless it is a
double-sided DVD disc).
•
Do not try to close the disc tray when the disc is not installed and
centred properly.
PLEASE CENTRE THE DISC INTO THE TRAY, THEN PRESS THE
OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON TO CLOSE THE TRAY AND START PLAYING
Do not clean the DISC
from side to side.
