Tuning to radio stations
1. Turn on the DVD player (the standby indicator will be off
and the front panel display will be on).
2. Press the SOURCE button on the main set or on the remote
control repeatedly until
“
FM
”
or
“
AM
”
appears on the front
panel display.
3. To tune a station, press and hold the FORWARD/SCAN
or BACKWARD/SCAN
buttons until the frequency
indication starts to change, then release. The system will
search the radio automatically.

For man ual tuning, p ress FORWARD/SCAN
o r
BACKWARD/SCAN
repeatedly, until you get the frequency
you want or the clearest sound.
•
When you receive a clear signal, stop pressing.
Preseting radio stations
You can preset up to 40 stations for FM and AM randomly.
Your set will remember these presets for faster tuning later.
1. Tune to your desired radio station.
2. Press the SLOW/MEMORY button, the display will show
as below.
3. Use the number buttons to select the desired preset
number.
4. Press the SLOW/MEMORY button to store the
station preset.
5. To preset another station, repeat steps 1~4.
Your set will now remember your favourite stations.
Listening to preset radio stations
In tuner mode, press the PRESET
or
button or the
number buttons to select the desired preset stations.
If your
FM
program is noisy, press (MONO/STEREO) on
the remote control, so that
“
MONO
”
appears on the front
panel display. There will be no stereo effect, but the
reception will improve. Press it again to restore the stereo
effect or you may try using an outdoor FM antenna to
improve reception.
RDS
RDS functions are only available in areas that use RDS system.
RDS (Radio Data System) is a broadcasting service that allows
FM stations to send additional information along with the regular
FM radio signal. This additional information can contain the
following:
•
Station Name
•
Radio Test
•
Frequency
Displaying RDS data
When an RDS Radio station is received, the RDS station name
will appear on the display, while receiving an RDS radio station,
you can change the display information by pressing DISPLAY on
the remote control repeatedly.
NOTE:
If the tuned station is not transmitting an RDS signal or
not an RDS station,
“
NO RDS
”
will be displayed.
Searching for RDS radio stations
using Program Type
The following program types exist and can be received by your
radio tuner:
NEWS, AFFAIRS, INFO, SPORTS, EDUCATE, DRAMA,
CULTURE, SCIENCE, VARIED, POP M, ROCK M, LIGHT M,
CLASSICS, OTHERS M. etc..
If receiving an RDS station, pressing the DISPLAY button
repeatedly will select PS name, PTY type and frequency, etc.
