Disk Memory System
When you choose the FILE COMMANDS option. the following screen appears:

COPY FILE - You can copy a file in TI BASIC by reading it and then writing it. item by
item. to the new file. With the Command Module. you can do the process more simply.
When you choose this option. the following screen appears:

MASTER DISK [1-3]?1
Your response to the prompt MASTER DISK ( 1-3)? indicates which disk drive contains
the file you are going to copy. When you answer the prompt. the DISKNAME is filled in.
and the prompt FILENAME? appears. Enter the name of the file you wish to copy.
The prompt COpy DISK ( 1-3)? appears. Your answer determines which disk drive will
be copied to. When you answer it. the DISKNAME is filled in and the prompt
FILENAME? appears. Enter the name you want to give the file.
Note: The Disk Manager module recognizes only characters with ASCII codes of 32
through 95. For best results. use only upper-case characters A through Z and other
characters with ASCII codes of 95 and lower (excluding the period and the space
character) to name your files.
RENAME FILE - When you choose this option. the following screen appears.

Your response to the prompt MASTER DISK (1-3)? indicates which disk drive contains
the file you want to rename. When you answer. the DISKNAME is filled in and the
prompt FILENAME? appears. Enter the present name of the file. The prompt NEW
FILENAME? appears. Enter the new name that you want the file to have.
The name of a file can be up to ten characters long and can use any characters except
the period and the space character. Valid names for files are the same as valid names
for diskettes.
Note: If your filename contains lower-case alphabetical characters or other characters
with ASCII codes above 95. you cannot use the RENAME FILE option.
DELETE FILE - With the Command Module. you cannot only delete a file. but also go
through all files on a diskette. choosing which ones to delete. When you choose this
option. the following screen appears.
