INSERTING THE NEEDLE
Select a needle of the right type and size for the fabric to be
sewn.
CAUTION: Turn off the power before removing the needle.
•
Turn the handwheel toward you until the needle is at its
highest point.
•
Loosen the needle clamp screw.
•
Remove the needle.
•
Insert new needle into needle clamp with flat side to the
back and push it up as far as it will go.
•
Tighten the needle clamp screw.
A. Do not use bent or blunt needles. Place needle on a flat
surface and check to see if bent.
REMOVING OR INSERTING THE BOBBIN CASE
•
Open the hook cover (1).
•
Raise the needle by turning the balance
wheel toward you.
•
Take out bobbin case holding the latch
(2).
•
When inserting the bobbin case, place
the tip of the bobbin case (3) into the
recess of the hook race.
WINDING THE BOBBIN
1.
Pull hand wheel as it is shown on the drawing.
2.
Place a spool of thread onto the spool pin. Guide the thread
around the bobbin winder thread guide.
3.
Insert the thread through one of holes in the bobbin from the
inside to the outside.
4.
Put the bobbin on the bobbin winder spindle, and push it to
the right. With the free end of the thread held in your hand, depress the foot
control.
