screws and washers which previously held the
P.T.O. cover on (Ford only). Tighten screws
securely.
11.
Assembling the control levers (fig. 28)
The handle rods (J) complete with nuts (K) and
washers should be screwed into the pivot
blocks of the levers, set to the required position
and locked with the locknuts. Ensure that the
connecting links are attached to the valve
spools.
12.
Assembling the front units (fig. 29):
(a)
Press down on the pivot arm (C) and flip catch
(A) over to the front of the machine to lock the
tension nut (B). This catch will lock the arm in
the down position.
(b)
Remove the setscrew and collar from the pivot
bar.
(c)
Draw the front unit out from under the tractor
and fit the pivot brackets. Position the units
square with the tractor and in line with their
respective pivot bars. The drive pivots are to
be on the outer end of the units.
(d)
Raise the motor end of the unit, leaving the
other on the ground, until the pivot bar aligns
with the pivot housing on the unit. Whilst
standing to the front of the machine, pull the
unit on to the pivot bar with a straight pull.
(e)
Replace the collar and setscrew and tighten
securely.
13.
After first ensuring that the hydraulic couplings
are clean, connect up the quick release
couplings for the lift ram pipe (D fig. 30).
NOTE: Do not force the sleeves of the quick release
coupling. Pressure in the circuit can prevent the
connection and the appropriate valve should be opened
to release the pressure.
14.
Hose support brackets (see fig. 31) (Ford 333)
Clamp hydraulic hoses into clips and hook up
into brackets.
