(107)Wait until the fluid starts to come out all the holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel and increase the pressure to 65 psi.
(108)Continue the fluid purge until the panel is correctly purged in accordance with Figure 3 and
Table 2.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be necessary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the leading edge and/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(109)Stop the fluid supply.
(110) Wait until the fluid pressure is released.
(111) Disconnect the purge tank lines.
(112) Install a new S2800-942 Sealing Ring and connect the left horizontal stabilizer TKS supply line
to the tailcone proportioning unit.
(113) Disconnect the right horizontal stabilizer TKS panel supply line from the tailcone proportioning
unit.
(114) Connect the purge tank lines to the right horizontal stabilizer TKS panel as near to the panel as
you can.
(115) Apply pressure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in the line, and repair all leaks.
(116) Apply pressure of 20 psi to slowly start the fluid flow through the panel.
(117) Wait until the fluid starts to come out all the holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel and increase the pressure to 65 psi.
(118) Continue the fluid purge until the panel is correctly purged in accordance with Figure 3 and
Table 2.

(119) Stop the fluid supply.
(120)Wait until the fluid pressure is released.
(121)Disconnect the purge tank lines.

line to the tailcone proportioning unit.
(123)Disconnect the vertical stabilizer TKS panel supply line from the tailcone proportioning unit.
(124)Connect the vertical stabilizer TKS panel supply line directly to the purge cart.
(125)Apply pressure of 10 psi, do a check for leaks in the line, and repair all leaks.
(126)Apply pressure of 20 psi to slowly start the fluid flow through the panel.
(127)Wait until the fluid starts to come out all the holes at the same rate along the full length of the
panel and increase the pressure to 75 psi.
(128)Continue the fluid purge until the panel is correctly purged in accordance with Figure 3 and
Table 2.
NOTE: To get an even flow over the panel it may be necessary to lightly run a dry cloth or
paper towel over the leading edge and/or the dry spots of the panel during purging.
(129)Stop the fluid supply.
(130)Wait until the fluid pressure is released.
(131)Disconnect the purge tank lines.
