FRONT CV SHAFT, SUSPENSION AND STEERING

Remove the cotter pin (31) and castle nut (30) that secure
the spindle to the upper control arm (Ref. Fig. 9). Tap the
spindle assembly downward with a hammer to separate it
from the ball joint (Ref. Fig. 8).

Remove the cotter pin (31) and castle nut (30) that
secure the spindle to the lower control arm (Ref. Fig.
10). Tap the spindle assembly downward with a
hammer to separate it from the ball joint.
7.
Slide the spindle assembly off of the CV axle splines.
8.
The installation of the spindle assembly is the
reverse of disassembly.
9.
Tighten the hardware to the torque values specified
below:
