INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
o
Electrical connections
should be set up and installed by qualified
professionals.
o
Before proceeding with installation, please put on
protective gloves.
o
Electrical connection:
The device is a class II design, so cables with an earth
connection should not be connected. It should be easy
to access the plug after installing the device. If the
device is fitted with a cable that does not have a plug,
make sure that there is a multi-pole circuit breaker
installed between the device and power supply, with
an opening of at least 3 mm installed between the
contacts, and check that this is suitable for the load
and meets current rules and regulations, before
connecting the power supply.
Connection to the electrical grid should be
set up as follows: BROWN = L phase
BLUE = N neutral.
o
If the hood is being installed above an
electric hob, a gas hob or an induction hob, there must
be a distance of at least 65cm between the hob and
the lowest part of the hood. If you are using a
connection pipe consisting of two or more sections,
the top section must be placed outside the bottom
section. Do not connect the discharge pipe from the
hood to any pipe in which warm air is circulating, or
which is being used to discharge smoke from devices
that are not using electrical energy.
-
If an extraction version of the device is to be
installed, the opening must be prepared to extract air.
o
We recommend using an air extraction hose with the
same diameter as the air extraction hole. Using a
smaller hose may reduce product performance and
increase noise levels.
NOTE: If the lights are not functioning correctly, check
to make sure that they have been screwed tightly in
place.
Installation
You can remove the grate, as shown in figure 5, before
installation (depending on the model purchased) ---
this also makes it easier to handle the device.
The device has two air openings, one at the top and
one at the bottom, which can be used as and when
needed (see Fig. 1A).
This product comes with a flange, D, which is
connected to the air extraction pipe, and a plug, B , for
the air opening, which is not used.
This device can be installed in two different ways:
1.
Install the hood below a cupboard (Fig. 2)
-
Drill 4 holes in the cupboard using the dimensions in
figures 2
A---2 C.
-
Position the hood below the cupboard and fix in
place using 4 screws (not included) that are suitable
for the type of material used in the kitchen unit.
2.
Install the hood on the wall (Fig.2).
-
Drill 4 holes using the dimensions in figures 2 A---2 B.
-
Mount the hood on the wall using the 2 H holes; it must
be completely horizontal; finally, fix permanently in
place on the wall using the two I holes at the bottom
(Fig. 2B).
Use screws and Rawlplugs that are suitable for the type
of wall (e.g. reinforced concrete, plaster etc.)
If screws and Rawlplugs are supplied with the device,
check and ensure that they are suitable for the wall on
which the hood will
