The transmitted light fixed polarizer fits in the transmission illumination assembly below the
stage platform.

To install the transmitted light fixed polarizer
1. Open the sample compartment doors and remove any sample from the microscope stage.
2. Lower the stage just enough to clear the selected objective and then move the stage toward
the back of the microscope as far as it will go.

Remove the sample area cover

4. If the handle is not attached to the fixed transmitted light polarizer, screw the handle into
the hole at the end of the polarizer and tighten it finger tight.
5. Hold the polarizer by the handle (label should face up) while you gently slide it into the
insertion slot under the stage platform.

6. Replace the sample area cover.
