2  Using the Q-Series Chassis and Modules 

2.1  Types of Connections 

All  physical  connections  to  our  Q-Series  products  use  industry-standard  connectors.  Non-supplied 
cables  that  may  be  needed  are  commercially  available.  All  interface  connections  are  found  on  the 
modules, located in the rear of the Q-4300 and Q-2300 chassis and on the front of the Q-1300 Chassis.

2.2 

Desktop or Rack Mount  

2.2.1.   Mounting the Q-4300 Chassis 

You  may  choose  to  place  your  Q-4300  Chassis  on  or  under  a  shelf  or  desktop  (rubber  feet  included, 
under-desk mounting brackets, Kit ENCA000797, available), or rack mount it using the supplied EIA 19

mounting brackets. In any mounting configuration, the front panel should be visible and unobstructed so 
that the navigation buttons and LCD display are accessible.  All connections are made to the modules on 
the rear of the chassis.  The Q-4300 chassis does not need to be opened or accessed.  The sturdy metal 
case allows units to be stacked as needed (maximum of four units per stack, with a minimum of two 
inches of clearance between stacks for adequate ventilation)
.  See Appendix A (page 20) for under-
desk mounting.

Each mounting bracket is secured 

by four screws and can be safely 

removed from the transmitter or 

receiver unit for desk-top mounting 

after power has been removed from 

the unit.

All screws should be reinstalled after 

the brackets have been removed.

2.2.2.    Mounting the Q-2300 Chassis 

You  may  choose  to  place  your  Q-2300  Chassis  on  or  under  a  shelf  or  desktop  (rubber  feet  and 
mounting  brackets  included). 

Standard  19”  rack-mount  brackets  (VED-000001)  are  available  upon 

request.  In  any  mounting  configuration,  the  front  panel  should  be  visible  and  unobstructed  so  that  the 
navigation buttons and LCD display are accessible.  All connections are made to the rear of the chassis.  
The Q-2300 chassis does not need to be opened or accessed.  The sturdy metal case allows units to be
