Menus
Introduction
The Kalypso system’s Menu panel provides capabilities that compliment
the operation of the Main panel and the Local Aux panel. The Menu panel
controls most system functions, and has additional controls not available
on the Main panel (for example, wipe pattern selection, chroma key
manual controls, and configuration menus). During live production the
operator spends most of his time working directly on the Main and Local
Aux panels. The Menu panel is used extensively for setup and effects cre-
ation.
CAUTION
Do not install unauthorized applications on the Kalypso system. Activity from
other applications may adversely affect Kalypso system operation.
A Kalypso 1-M/E Main panel as its own menu system, to allow it to be
operated without a separate Menu panel. See
Section 4-1-M/E Panel Built In
for more information.
Menu Panel Description
Two Kalypso Menu panel models exist (the Enhanced Menu panel and the
original Menu panel).
