File Operations Menu
The
Top
button goes to the top directory that displays the local and network
drives. Also displayed is the Frame User Directory, which provides access
to the Kalypso Video Processor frame. Individual files and folders located
on the Kalypso Menu panel NT desktop are not shown.
The
Open
button opens the selected folder or drive. Files cannot be opened.
The
Sort By Type
and
Sort By Name
buttons orders the entries in the panel by
the chosen category. The
Rev Order
button selects A to Z or Z to A order for
the chosen category.
The
Normal View
button arranges the icons in rows and columns. The
Report View
button arranges the icons in a single column and displays addi-
tional information. These buttons are mutually exclusive.
The
Multi Select
button, when on, allows the selection of multiple files. When
off, only one file can be selected at a time. Turning this button off when
items are selected causes all items to become deselected.
The
Copy
button initiates a Copy/Paste action.
The
Paste
button completes the Copy/Paste action.
The
Delete
button deletes the selected file or folder. Drives cannot be
deleted.
The
Create Folder
button creates a new folder in the selected directory. A text
entry popup is used to enter the name of the new folder.
The
Rename
button renames the selected file. A text entry popup is used to
enter the name of the file.
Note
Use clear naming conventions and logical directory structures when creating
folders and renaming files so you can reliably reload the correct versions of
these files when you need them.
The
Cancel
button becomes active during long file copy operations. If
several items have been selected for copying, pressing
Cancel
will stop the
copy process after the currently copying file completes.
The
Load
button in the File Operations menu is inactive in Release 11.0, but
is active in other file management menus.
See File Operations in the Kalypso User Manual for specific operating instruc-
tions.
