The
Switcher Controls DPM
and the
DPM Controls Aux Bus
buttons toggle on and
off. The three possible combinations are:
Switcher Controls DPM
is On and
DPM Controls Aux bus
is On.
The switcher changes to the aux bus are sent as a request to the DPM.
The DPM replies to the switcher with the report of the new source.
Switcher receives the request and changes the source on the Aux Bus.
Switcher Controls DPM
is On and
DPM Controls Aux Bus
is Off.
Switcher changes to the Aux Bus are immediately applied on the Aux
Bus and sent as a request to the DPM. The DPM replies to the switcher
with the report of the new source but the switcher drops the request
without changing the source on the Aux Bus.
Switcher Controls DPM
is Off and
DPM Controls Aux Bus
is Off.
Switcher changes to the Aux Bus are immediately applied to the Aux
Bus and the request is not sent to the DPM. Any DPM messages sent to
the switcher requesting a new source are ignored by the switcher and
dropped without changing the source on the Aux Bus.
The
Map
Sources
button accesses the External Mapping menu (see
). This menu will allow the user to map any or all of
the Kalypso sources to DPM sources. The menu does not know how many
sources the DPM has so, it is the responsibility of the user to map the correct
number of sources based on the protocol used by the DPM device.
