Section 3 — Menus
The
Use Selected
button chooses the currently selected folder for use by the
Still Store. The browser will close, the Still Store Playback menu will reap-
pear, and the items in the selected folder will be displayed in the scrolling
list. If items from the previous folder have been cached, after the folder
change those items will continue be displayed on the list (they will be
shaded) and they remain available for use.
Note
Avoid changing folders unnecessarily. Still Store material may become inac-
cessible or the wrong material may be loaded if items with the same names
reside in different folders. Also, if you switch back and forth between folders,
cached items that have been shaded remain so, even if their files actually
reside in the current folder.
The
Cancel
button returns you to the Still Store Playback menu without
changing the folder.
The standard
Copy
,
Paste
,
Delete
,
Create Folder
,
Rename
, and
Multi Select
func-
tions are available for the folder currently navigated to and selected in the
left pane. However, it is better to use the File Operations menu for folder
and file management.
CAUTION
Use care if you delete or rename folders from Still Store folder browser menu.
You cannot inspect the folder’s contents from this menu before making a
change. Also, some folders (like Still Store/User/DEFAULT) should be present
in their original location and retain their original names for proper system
operation. Only delete or rename folders you are familiar with and know are
safe to modify.
Playback Controls
When the Playback menu is selected, the center pane provides playback
controls for the delegated output.
The
Video Key Pair
button controls pairing of the delegated output for use
with key signals. Pairs are consecutive with the odd numbered output the
video and the even numbered output the key (1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8). When an
output is paired, an image saved as a video/key pair will load its video
portion to the odd output and its key portion to the even output. This
control is keyframeable.
Clip Playback Controls
at the bottom of the menu are activated if an output
loaded with an animation clip is selected. Cue, Stop, and Play buttons are
available, each indicated with the standard symbol.
Playback Menu Position and Crop Controls
Position
and
Crop
data pads are displayed that report the current values for
these parameters, in screen units from the center of the image. In this Still
Store Playback menu, these controls affect only how the item will be dis-
played during playback, and can be used to override any position or crop
values applied when the item was saved.
