Still Store Menus
Freeze Controls
The Freeze controls affect the appearance of a still image or a stopped clip.
These controls are keyframeable.
The
Frame
button selects a two field display. This display offers the highest
resolution, but moving video can cause flicker between the fields.
The
Field 1
and
Field 2
buttons selects the specified single field display. The
other field is synthesized in one of two ways:
When
Field Interp
is selected the missing field is created by interpolating
adjacent lines from the selected field.
When
Field Replicate
is selected the missing field is created by replicating
the selected field.
Clip Playback Editing Controls
When a clip is selected the clip playback editing controls in this pane are
active (
). Once a clip has been captured, its intended
playback can be adjusted. Marks can be entered to control where a clip
starts and ends, and looping controls are also available. These adjustments
can then be saved so they are applied when that clip is loaded to a Still Store
output.
A timeline graph in the center of the pane shows the physical length of the
clip and the defined playback region. A white cursor shows the current
playback time of the clip. Mark Begin (green), Mark End (yellow), Loop To
(blue), and Loop From (gold) indicators are also included on the graph.
Mark control buttons are located immediately above the timeline graph,
and loop controls are available below.
The
Jog Back
and
Jog Forward
buttons at the bottom of the pane move the clip
one frame backward or forward. Movement is restricted to the playable
area of the clip, and will stop at Begin and End marks (unless
Disable Marks
is turned on). A soft knob jog control is also available (see
permits movement before and after the marks regardless of the
Disable Marks
setting. The Cue, Stop, and Play controls labeled with stan-
dard symbols at the bottom center of the menu can also be used to cue, play,
and stop the selected clip.
The
Go To Mark
button activates a mode in which touching a mark or loop
button moves the current time of the clip to that mark. For example, to go
to the mark end point, turn on
Go To Mark
and then press
Mark End
.
Turning the
Disable Marks
button on temporarily deactivates begin and end
marks and looping. Clips will then play only once from their absolute
beginning to their absolute end, and can be jogged backward and forward
to any recorded location. This button state is not saved to E-MEM.
