Keyer Priority Menu, Partition Delegation
The
Primary
and
Secondary
delegation buttons are active when the Double-
Take option is installed. When the Keyer Priority Stack pane is delegated to
one of a split M/E’s partitions, only the keyers in that partition can be
selected for stack reordering. However, all the keyers of that M/E are dis-
played in priority order in the pane (
Figure 246. Keyer Priority Menu
Keyers not assigned to a partition will not be visible on that partition’s
output, so their locations on the stack do not affect the priority order of the
remaining visible keys. The P1-P4 priority indicated in this pane can be
considered priority slots, the order of which is maintained regardless of
whether the keyers are included in a partition’s composite. This approach
always keeps the relative keyer priorities the same, even if the mode of the
M/E changes or if keyers are assigned to different partitions.
For example, if Keyers 3 and 4 are assigned to the secondary partition and
the keyers are in 1-4 priority order, moving Keyer 4 to the top takes it to the
highest priority slot and bumps the others down. Keyer 1 (assigned to the
Primary partition and inaccessible to the Secondary) moves to slot 2, Keyer
2 moves to slot 3, and keyer 3 moves to slot 4 (
not affect the relative stacking in the other partition, however. While Keyer
4 has moved above Keyer 3 in the Secondary partition, Keyer 1 remains on
top of Keyer 2. in the Primary partition.
