Wipe Menus
Primary and Secondary Partition Delegation
Pri
and
Sec
buttons allow menu delegation for transition wipe point of use
attributes of an M/E split mode partition (available with the DoubleTake
option). The
Pri
and
Sec
button delegations only affect the transition wipe
columns in the delegation matrix. The labels for these columns change
(
PW1
,
PW2
, or
SW1
,
SW2
) when the delegation changes.
A Complex Wipe generator assigned to one partition can be used as the
wipe generator for a point of use in the other partition, but control of that
generator comes from the partition to which it is assigned. An E-MEM
recall on that partition may change the generator parameters (pattern, posi-
tion, rotation, aspect, etc.) and affect the look of the wipe in the other pati-
tion.
Wipe Patterns and Split Mode M/Es
If the same wipe generator is assigned to both the Primary and Secondary
M/E partition, the size of three of the wipe patterns (Clock 6, Dual Clock
16, and Slitscan 46) cannot be controlled independently in each partition.
For these three patterns the shape of the wipe solid must be changed to
alter the size of the wipe. Because a wipe generator can make only one wipe
solid at time, only one size of these wipes can be created by the same wipe
generator. Assign a different wipe generator to each partition for indepen-
dent size control.
See the separate Kalypso User Manual for more information about Double-
Take split Mode M/E partitions.
