Mattes Subpanel Delegation Control Buttons
The
Auto Deleg
and
Last Deleg
buttons in the Delegation Control group affect
the current delegation of the Mattes subpanel. (The Keyers/Masks sub-
panel has its own independent delegation control buttons for those sub-
panels).
•
The
Auto Deleg
button enables and disables automatic delegation as con-
figured in a user preference. When on, automatic delegation will occur
following the user preference rules. When off, no auto delegation
occurs for the Mattes subpanel.
•
The
Last Deleg
button recalls the previous delegation for the Mattes sub-
panel.
Base/Wash Fill Button Group
This group of controls selects the type of fill, and controls the color of a
matte fill.
•
The
Matte Fill
button selects a matte fill, and activates the
Hue
,
Saturation
,
and
Brightness
control knobs. When a flat matte has been selected a
single matte color can be adjusted with these knobs. When wash matte
has been selected (see below) up to two colors can be controlled, deter-
mined by the
Base Fil
l and
Wash Fill
delegation buttons above.
•
The
Util 1
and
Util 2
buttons select video fill from a utility bus. Manual
source selection for each utility bus is accomplished with the
Alt Buses
modifier button (see
available for these video signals from the Mattes subpanel. A wash can
contain up to two video signals. You can also combine matte and video
in the same wash by selecting
Matte Fill
as the base fill, and
Utility Fill
as
the wash fill (or vice versa). Utility fills can only be used on transition
borders, borderlines, and preset patterns.
The
Color Pick
button is inactive in Kalypso Release 11.0.
Wash Geometry Button Group
This group of controls selects a flat or wash matte, and controls the appear-
ance of the blend of the wash.
•
The
Flat
button selects a single element matte or utility video fill. The
Wash Fill
button is inactive when
Flat
is selected. The geometry control
knobs above are inactive when this button is selected.
•
The
C1-C2 Wipe
buttons selects a wash controlled by a complex wipe
generator, and the
Keyer Wipe
button selects a wash controlled by a keyer
wipe generator. Knob control of wash geometry is described in
. DPOP is available on this button to directly
to the Wipe-Wash menu.
