Auto Start
The
Auto Start
button is used to make an external machine start playing
when it is taken on-air. To do this, delegate the device with the PGM PST B
bus, then press
Auto Start
so it is illuminated. On-air status causing playback
can be achieved by a bus source change, turning on a key, or recalling an
E-MEM register, to name a few.
Auto Start is a mode of the device. The device’s source does not have to be
selected on Pgm-Pst B for Auto Start to function. Once turned on, the
device will start when it goes to air regardless of what's on the Pgm-Pst B
row.
Set Deleg
When
Set Deleg
is held down, pressing a source button delegates machine
control to that bus. The Machine Control Panel readout also displays the
current bus delegation for machine control while
Set Deleg
is held down.
Gang Roll
The Gang Roll feature permits rolling multiple external devices with a
single command. Devices are selected for Gang Roll on the Local Aux
panel, and are then controlled together on the Machine Control subpanel,
using the
Play/Gang Roll
button. See Gang Roll in the Kalypso User Manual for
specific operating instructions.
Preview Subpanel
Switched preview is an output from the switcher that can be used by the
operator to preview sources, keys, and effects during production, and for
setting up the switcher before a session. The Preview subpanel (
gives the operator a way to view the preview outputs of the M/Es on the
Kalypso system’s switched preview output.
