Section 3 — Menus
When the Sep Sides data pad is selected, individual soft knob controls for
separation are available (T Separate, L Separate, R Separate, B Separate).
These controls allow movement of individual Top, Left, Right and Bottom
portions of the split image.
Split Modifiers Pane
The Split Modifiers pane has mirror and double image controls.
The mirror buttons replicate the side of a picture about the axis location to
the opposite side. Mirror orientation is based on the picture’s source space.
It is possible to simultaneously reflect multiple sides by turning on the
Mirror Top
,
Mirror Right
,
Mirror Left
and
Mirror Bottom
buttons. The original
picture for that side is always reflected. A side that has been mirrored to the
opposite side will not be mirrored a second time.
When
Double Image
is on, the area of separation is filled by extending the
interior sides of each half of the original split picture to the axis position. At
large separation values the picture will be doubled about the axis. This
control only has an effect when separation exists between the splits.
Transform Engine Advanced Effects Option (Kalypso HD/Duo Only)
The Transform Engine Advanced Effects option includes Glow, Defocus,
and Lighting functions. Glow adds a soft edged variable opacity border
around keys, leaving the original keyed image unmodified. Defocus blurs
the actual keyed image. Lighting provides four positionable colored light
sources that apply a specular appearance to the transformed picture.
These features are available when Transform Engine hardware has been
installed on a Kalypso HD or Duo system and the Advanced Effects option
authorization code has been activated. Transform Engine Advanced Effects
are not available on Kalypso Classic systems.
