In a few cases, the soft knob or function button label displays a parameter’s
value in addition to the parameter name. In these cases, the legend is of the
form
label : value
.
In most cases, no delegation information is displayed in the menu. The user
should refer to the delegation and menu category buttons below the menu
to determine the current delegation of the menu. A few menus display spe-
cific delegation information where confusion may occur. In these cases, if
multiple points of use are delegated for control, the delegation text will
read
multiple delegations
rather than indicate a specific point of use.
Current Parameter Value Display
Some soft knobs, when first turned, make the menu show the current value
of that parameter, in place of its knob legend. The current value remains
displayed for five seconds, then the parameter legend returns. This first
knob turn will not change the parameter’s value. With this feature you can
see the current parameter value without altering it. After the first knob
rotation ends, turning the knob again within five seconds will actively
change the parameter’s value, and the changes are reported on the readout
display.
In cases where multiple delegations are active, the menu displays the status
for the left most delegation and changes will affect all selections.
Not all parameter knobs use this logic since some knob legends already
report the parameter’s value.
Menu Organization
Wipe Menus
This menu controls wipe point of use parameters and leads to menus that
adjust wipe generator parameters. Press the
Wipe
delegation button to
access these menus. The wipe points of use are: Trans wipe 1 & 2, Keyer 1-
4 Pst Pat, Keyer 1-4 Matte fill wash, Keyer 1-4 B’Line/Pst-Pat wash.
Wash points of use are accessed via the mattes menu tree
Wash Adj
and lead
directly to the generator adjust menu. All other points of use treat the wipe
top menu as the top of the tree. The point of use associated with entry into
this menu tree applies to all submenus.
Wipe Top Menu
This menu adjusts wipe point of use parameters. It takes two forms
depending on the generator selected.
