Kalypso Reference Manual
Section 4 — 1-M/E Panel Built In Menu
Function buttons dim tally if they have not been specified. At the start, all
buttons dim tally. They go out once they have been pressed to indicate they
are no longer available (you can’t press the same keyer button a second
time). Once four keyer buttons have been pressed, all four key function
buttons will again dim tally because the sequence is automatically reset to
accept another set of priority changes.
Restart
allows the operator to manually begin setting priorities with the top
most priority.

Matte
delegation button to access these menus, used to adjust
mattes.
Matte Top Menu
The Matte Top menu has two pages.
More
cycles between them.
This menu is used for all matte generators in the system. Keyers have three
separate matte generators, transition wipe borders have four and back-
ground generators have only one. The first function button leads to a point
of use delegation menu. Its label indicates the current point of use:
Fil
(Matte Fill),
PP
(preset pattern border), and
BL
(borderline). When an ME
has been split,
PW1
(primary transition wipe 1),
PW2
,
SW1
(secondary tran-
sition wipe 1), and
SW2
indicators appear. For background generators, the
Pou:
button does not appear and is disabled.
The
Bas:
or
Wsh:
button leads to a video fill selection menu for the base and
wash sides of the matte, respectively.
The
Wash
button turns a wash on or off. The button illuminates when on.
