Disable
The setting for live program links
because it prevents data renegotiation
if line conditions change (default).
Up
A higher bit rate is used if line quality
at both ends is above 80%
Down
A lower bit rate is used if line quality
falls below 20% at either end
Auto
Renegotiate
This menu allows you to select from
various modem connection renegotiation
settings.
Auto
Selected auto-renegotiation occurs as
line conditions vary and that can be
either up or down
Enable
Enables monitoring (default).
Monitor
The modem dialing and connection
process can be heard through the
headphones.
Disable
Disables monitoring.
Enable
(Default) Enables this function.
Detect Dial
Tone
By enabling the
Detect dial tone function
the codec will wait until a dial tone is
present before dialling.
Disable
Disables this function. Use if there is
any difficulty in detecting a dial tone.
Tone
(Default) Selects
Tone dialing.
Dial Method
This menu selects either Tone (DTMF)
dialling or Pulse dialling.
Pulse
Selects
Pulse dialing.
Disable
Disables monitoring.
Det. Progress
Tone
If this function is enabled, the codec tests
for phone system connection tones at the
conclusion of dialing (e.g.“busy” tone).
Disable
Disables Progress tone detection.
Auto Answer
Allows the user to enable or disable
automatic answering of incoming calls to
start operation.
Enter Number
0-9
Inserts the number of rings before
answering. Insert 0 to auto-answer.
Dial Pause
Time
Determines the length of any dialing
pause inserted into the telephone number.
Enter Number Sets the actual pause in milliseconds.
