Configuring the TDR7
Before you begin to configure the TDR7, you must have the following
information:
■
The incoming signal RF frequency (This frequency may also be
referred to as the satellite downlink frequency.)
■
The local oscillator frequency of your LNB downconverter (This
frequency is typically posted somewhere on the equipment or in
the manufacturer’s documentation.)
■
The transport stream data rate of the incoming RF signal
■
The Viterbi code rate of the incoming RF signal
■
The polarization of the incoming RF signal (If the incoming
signal is vertically polarized, you must set the LNB power
parameter to 18
V
. If the incoming signal is horizontally
polarized, you must set the LNB power parameter to 12
V
.)
NOTE: Video and Audio Operating Parameters
In the
TDR7
, both the video decoder and the audio decoder are
fully auto–detecting, which means that the
TDR7
automatically
sets all of the video and audio parameters required for operation
based on the incoming service signal.
NOTE: Before You Begin
Make a list of your operational requirements. Compare your
requirements to the DVB default settings for the corresponding
TDR7
parameter. Next, decide which of the parameters must be
changed from its DVB default, and write down the value to
which those settings must be changed. Finally, follow the steps
in the examples below, substituting the values you need for the
parameters you identified as needing to be changed.
