Using the Control Front Panel
Faults Menu
The Faults menu is separated into three functions:
Current, History, and Clear.
The TDR7 performs fault detection and reporting on a real–time basis.
Whenever the TDR7 detects a fault, a description of the fault is stored
in the fault history log. If the fault is a current fault, you can use the
Current function to view a description of the fault, or you can view a
historical list of all faults by displaying the fault History, which
displays all faults that have occurred since the last time the fault
history was cleared.
Current faults and faults in the fault history log display one at a time
beginning with the most recent fault. If more than one current fault
exists or the fault history log contains more than one fault, the LCD
displays a right–pointing arrow in the right–hand side of the display.
To view other faults, press the
Inc
(up) button. If you press the
Inc
(up)
button when the LCD is displaying the last fault, the display returns
to the first fault displayed.
Whenever a fault is detected, it is stored in the fault history log until
one of the following events occurs:
■
The TDR7 power is turned off.
■
The TDR7 is reset.
■
You clear the fault history log by selecting
Clear
from the
Faults submenu.
Use the Clear function to clear the fault history log.
A complete description of faults, the fault history log, and LED
indicators is provided in Chapter 6 of this manual.
