Using the by-pass function
By pass valve
In parallel with the drive lines there is a by-pass valve (15) connected. When the by-pass
valve is opened (inwards), the oil will pass the valve instead of the pump. Oil will not flow
where the crosses are located in the figure.
The purpose of the by-pass valve is to disable the resistance in the main pump and allow
the oil to circulate in the system when the wheels need to be turned. However, when the
by-pass valve is actuated the resistance in the system is still not zero, why it is only allowed
to push the machine short distances, i.e. up on a trailer.
