CHAPTER 6: SIDE GUARDS
Adjusting
Note: Do not allow any portion of the clamp to extend passed either end of the frame rail located under the seat tube.
Tools Needed:
• 1/8” Allen Wrench
You can adjust the “snugness” of the fit of the side guard bracket in the side guard mount by loosening or tightening
the two Allen screws in the side guard mount. See Figure 6-3.
Either type of Rigid Side Guard can be made “non-removable” by firmly tightening the two Allen screws in the side
guard mount while the side guard is installed.

Removing the Rigid Side Guard Assembly
Tools Needed:
• 3/16” Allen Wrench
To remove the entire side guard assembly, including the clamp:
1. Remove the side guard from the side guard mount.
2. Remove the Allen screws that secure the two halves of the clamp to the frame. See Figure 6-3.
Reinstalling the Rigid Side Guard Assembly
Tools Needed:
• 3/16” Allen Wrench
1. Align the two halves of the clamp around the seat tube of the chair frame. See Figure 6-3.
2. Insert the Allen screws through the washers and into the two halves of the clamp and securely tighten.
3. Insert the side guard bracket into the side guard mount and adjust the two Allen screws as described under
“Adjusting” on page 6-2.
