IMPORTANT!
Never drain the appliance if water temperature is over
50°C since it may result in burns.
IMPORTANT!
The manufacturer grants an extended guarantee for
particular water heater components provided that
timely and proper routine maintenance is performed
by specialists of an authorized service centre (see the
guarantee card).
low air temperature (below 0°C), it is necessary to drain the water heater to
prevent damage of the appliance (due to water freezing in the inner tank).
To do so it is necessary to:
- disconnect the water heater from the electrical main;
- turn the water off by the cut-off valve;
- open the hot water tap and drain the system.
For SWH SE1 VO series:
- unscrew the back pressure safety valve screw and set the handle in
horizontal position; water will flow out from the pressure relieving opening
(refer to the figure 9).
For SWH SE1 VU series:
- disconnect the water heater from the water main and consumption point;
rotate it 180 degrees; water will flow out from the outlet nozzle.
It is possible not to drain the tank, but set the water heater on minimum
heating temperature with constant connection to electric supply.
3. To ensure long-term reliable operation of the water heater it is
recommended to clean the inner tank regularly and remove deposits from
the electric heating elements of the appliance as well as check condition
(fully decomposed or not) of the magnesium anode and, if necessary,
replace it with a new one in case of full decomposition.
Frequency of tank cleaning depends upon hardness of water available
in a given territory. Cleaning must be performed by special maintenance
services. You can ask the seller for the address of the nearest service
centre or find it on the website www.timberk.com.
4. Schedule maintenance should be performed under strict observance of
this instruction manual and safety precautions.
5.
The water heater is equipped with a temperature limiter (figure 10)
which cuts off power supply to the heating element upon water overheating
or its absence in the water heater. If the water heater is connected to the
electrical main, but water does not heats and the handle lamp does not
light then the temperature limiter was switched off or not switched on. To
reset the water heater to the operating condition it is necessary to:
-
unplug the water heater from the electrical main
, remove the face panel
cover;
- press the button located in the centre of the temperature limiter placed on
the heating element until it clicks;
- if the button cannot be pressed and there is no click then you should wait
until the temperature limiter cools down to the initial temperature.
