Your phone allows you sending and receiving short messages as text
messages (SMS).
Reading incoming SMS
When have received an SMS this will be indicated in large letters on
the display.
By pressing the dial key you will see the phone number(s) (or
name(s), in case the subscriber is listed in the telephone book) who
sent you the SMS. And by pressing the dial key once again the con-
tents of the SMS is shown.
When seeing the contents of the SMS and pressing the dial key once
again you will get a selection menu from which you can answer the
SMS, call the number, delete the SMS, forward the SMS to another
phone, or save the sender to the phone book.
In case you have closed the large message on a new received
SMS (e.g. by pressing the hang-up key) a small icon in the
display will show you that there are still SMS which you did not read
so far.
Note:
In case you have received calls you did not answer to-
gether with SMS you have not read yet, you first will have
to go through the list of missed calls by pressing the dial
key. Only after this you can review new SMS by pressing
the dial key once again.
The dial key now gives you access to new SMS which you have not
read so far. As soon as you have reviewed the message this message
will not be shown to you again when you once more press the dial
key.
