14) Adjust the carriage cable tension. This is accomplished by tightening the lock nut under
the upper end of each carriage through the adjusting window.
Tighten the nut on the
side that you wish to raise.
Adjust each cable to approximately 1/2” side-to-side play.
When the cables are adjusted properly, the locks will click simultaniously as the lift is
raised.
15) Install the swing arms on the carriages using the included 4 pins (35). Adjust the lifting
arm gear locks on each swing arm. Check for proper engagement of the arm lock – the
rack on the lock should fully engaged in the gear on the arm.
