TOASTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug cord into any 120V ~ 60 Hz outlet. The unit may emit an odor and/or

smoke during first few uses from oils used in manufacturing. This is normal
for a new appliance.

2. The electronic toaster must be plugged in, the slide cover completely open

and the arrow on the toast color control knob must be set between color 1
and 6 in order for toaster to operate. For first use, set color midway between
Light (1) and Dark (6) toast color settings. Toast thin-sliced bread on lighter
toast color settings.

3. Insert bread or toaster food into slots and slowly push toast lever down. The

self-adjusting bread slots hold food upright for uniform toasting. Raise lever
at any time to check toast color. Or, you may turn the toast color control
knob to the OFF position and the lever will raise up automatically.

4. When toast is done, it will pop up and the current will shut off automatically.
5 . Unplug and allow to cool before cleaning or moving.

N o t e :

Many varieties of packaged convenience foods are available which can
be toasted in your toaster. Refer to food package for heating instruc-
t i o n s .

After constant use, or changing to a lighter setting, the lever may not
lock down. Allow toasting mechanism to cool until it will lock down.

SLIDE COVER
This toaster features a cover which protects the interior components when not
in use. The toaster will not operate unless the slide cover is completely open.
