TIP:
Did you forget your numeric code?
If you have forgotten your numeric code, the tolino support hotline will be able
to help you. However, you will need the serial number of your tolino for this. You
can find this number either on the packaging or via the tolino menu. To find the
serial number in your tolino, go to the
Menu
and tap on
Information and help
.
The serial number will then be displayed on top of the page that opens next. I
suggest that you write down the serial number somewhere and keep it in a safe
place in case of an emergency; the entry on your tolino will not help you if the
device is locked!
8.2 Updating your tolino
Essentially, your tolino is just a small computer that specializes in providing you with
your reading stuff. Being a computer, it consists of hardware and software. And as
is the case with software, it must be updated from time to time. Then the operating
system of your tolino gets renewed, and for example errors are fixed or new functions
are provided.

Usually your tolino itself looks for the update without your help. But if you want
to check for updates manually, tap on
Information and help
in the menu. On top
of the page that opens next, you can find information about the installed version
under
Software version
. In the
Software
section, click on the button,
Search for
new version
.
The check for updates takes a little while; you will then see a dialog box.

If a new version of the tolino software is available, the new features of the update
are listed briefly on an information page. You will be reminded again that you
should only carry out the update if there is sufficient battery capacity available.
