A-Arm installation
1.
Install new bushings in the a-arm.
4 X TM1730 plastic bushing
2 X TM1725 chrome bushing
2.
Replace the chassis bushings. There are 2
types of bushing used in the frame. Two
yellow bushings (TM1666) and six silver
bushings (TM1665).
The yellow bushings are used for the upper a-
arm only. One is installed at each bolt in the
frame hole (1) closest to the rear of the vehicle.
3.
To reinstall the a-arm into the frame use a
plastic hammer.
4.
Apply a light coat of anti-seize to the bolts.
Insert the bolts all the way in, close with a
nut and tighten to the required torque.
Tech Tip
Insert the bolts from the front so the nuts will be
towards the rear. This will help protect the
exposed threads from the bolt from getting
damaged by rocks, and will be easier to remove
next time.
