USING YOUR HUMIDIFIER
Set Up
NOTE:
Humidifier should always be on a solid, level, and moisture-resistant surface.
1. Ensure humidifier is unplugged.
2. Remove the lid from the top of the tank.
3. Fill the tank with water.
DO NOT
fill above the MAX fill line.
4. Place the lid back on to the top of the water tank.
5. Plug in the humidifier and turn the mist control knob to turn it on.
NOTE:
If the low water alert appears and the humidifier still has enough water, check to
confirm that the floater has not become stuck below the water line. Please reference #2
on the diagram on page 1.
For optimal performance, we recommend using distilled water.
Mist Control
Use the Mist control knob to control the level of mist. The humidifier features 360 degree
mist control. Simply rotate the cover so that the mist vent points in your chosen direction.
NOTE
: DO NOT aim mist directly at your child, the wall, or nearby furniture.
IMPORTANT:
• Water level should NEVER be higher than the “MAX” line.
• When first using, we do NOT recommend setting the mist output to the maximum
level. Too much mist could cause a pool of water to form near the humidifier.
• It is best to start with lower mist settings until you confirm what works best for your
home’s unique humidity levels.
Light Show Mode
Use the red switch at the rear of the humidifier to turn the multicolored LED nightlights
on and off.
Auto Shut Off
This humidifier has a safety system that switches it off before the water runs out. When
the water is almost empty, a red light will appear above the mist control knob. This safety
feature protects the nebulizer from being damaged due to lack of water and lets you
know it’s time to add more water.
Aromatherapy – For Adult Use Only
:
If using this humidifier in an adult’s room or a home without children, adding two to three
drops of your favorite essential oils into the water tank allows the humidifier to fill the
room with a pleasant aroma.
NOTE:
If using essential oils, you may need to clean the
humidifier more frequently as these oils can leave a residue.
Cleaning and Maintenance
IMPORTANT:
Before any cleaning, always switch the appliance off and unplug it.
1. Remove the basket from the water tank by rotating counter-clockwise.
2. Remove the basket ring from the basket.
3. Apart from the electrical controls, any part of the humidifier may be cleaned with a
soft damp cloth and then wiped with a dry cloth.
NOTE:
Check the nebulizer for mineral deposits. These can happen over time and are
especially common in areas with hard water. These deposits will influence the
humidification process and gradually decrease performance.
4. To clean mineral deposits from the nebulizer, dampen a soft cloth with vinegar and
wipe the nebulizer gently until the mineral deposit disappears. You may also use a very
soft brush, like a toothbrush, to gently remove the deposits.
5. Use a dry clean cloth to rub it down.
IMPORTANT:
Do NOT use hard or abrasive objects to clean the nebulizer.
NEVER
use
chemical products to clean the nebulizer.
6. After cleaning, place the basket ring back inside of the basket. Reinstall the basket
by rotating clockwise.
For optimal performance, we recommend using distilled water and cleaning the
humidifier once a week.
Notes about Humidity
1. It is best to keep the humidity level at about 30-50 percent of relative humidity.
2. The level of humidity needed will vary from room to room and with changing room
conditions.
3. In cold weather, especially in unventilated areas, windows and even some walls may
fog or develop frost from excessive indoor humidity. If this occurs, reduce the mist
setting to avoid damage from condensed water dripping on windows, walls or
furniture.
4. To prevent excessive humidity, especially in small rooms, leave the room door open
and use a lower mist setting.
