Step 24: Remove the Reset Chip
Pick the green reset chip (figure 26) up and
out of the slot; you may discard this as it is no
longer needed.
Step 25: Replacing the Reset Chip
After removing the old chip, insert the new RX180-RC
chip into the slot. In this orientation make certain the
brass contacts are facing outward (figure 27).
Note
: The larger of the brass contacts will be
located in the left corner. The replacement chip
will not look like the original but will function
in the same way.
Step 26: Secure the Reset Chip Housing
Reinsert the chip housing back into place.
If the
chip housing sits very loosely in the slot a tiny bit
of tape, included in the ReChargX™ RX180-RC chip
bag, can be used on the edge of the chip housing to
hold it in place, as shown in figure 28.
Congratulations – You’re Finished!
Congratulations! You have successfully refilled
your Samsung MLT-D105S or MLT-D105L toner
cartridge, emptied the waste hopper and replaced
the cartridge reset chip.
