recall a shortcut.

•  The LCD display (9) will indicate the actual temperature “REAL”.

e) Temperature Compensation/Calibration

•  Press and hold the right POWER   button and the   button on the hot air gun handle (1).

•  The LCD display (9) will begin to blink and show “CAL”.

 - Press UP or DOWN on the control panel (15).

Replacing the fuse

Allow the hot air gun and soldering iron to cool down completely, then turn the main

power switch OFF (7) and disconnect the power cord from the socket (14).

•  Remove the cover over the fuse holder (13) located at the back of the main unit.

•  Use a blunt object such as a flat head screwdriver to gently pry the fuse out.

•  Perform a continuity test on the fuse, e.g. with an appropriate meter (digital multimeter).

•  If the fuse is defective, replace it with a new fuse of the same type (see “Technical data” at

the end of these operating instructions).

Never use a fuse with other specifications. Never bridge a defective fuse! This may

cause a fire or a fatal electric shock!

•  Insert a replacement fuse until it clicks into place, then replace the protective cover.

•  Connect the workstation to the mains and switch it back on.

If  the  fuse  blows  again,  disconnect  the  workstation  from  the  mains  and  ask  a

technician to conduct a thorough inspection.

Care and Cleaning

a) Main Unit and Hot Air Gun

•  These are generally maintenance free. Disconnect the product from the mains, and allow all

parts to cool down completely before each cleaning.

•  Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as

they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.

•  Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.

b) Soldering Iron

•  Always keep the tip tinned before switching off or storing for any period of time.

•  Never clean the tip with coarse, abrasive materials like files.

•  If oxide forms on the tip, lightly rub with abrasive paper, wipe clean, then immediately reheat

and re-tin the tip to prevent oxidation of the wettable surface.

Disposal

Electronic  devices  are  recyclable  waste  and  must  not  be  disposed  of  in  the

household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance

with applicable regulatory guidelines.
