f) Notes on the use of grinding tools
• Do not install the grinding tools on the device without an approved clamping device. They should be attached to
the machine type for which they are intended. Excessive vibrations can lead to breakage.
• Carefully unpack the new grinding tools and clean them with a brush. Inspect them for damage that may have
occurred during transport. Careless handling during unpacking may damage the grinding tools.
• You can test the grinding tools by conducting a sound test. To do this, strike the clean grinding tool gently with a
non-metallic object. If there are cracks that indicate an imminent break, the sound will be dull instead of bright and
clear. Damaged grinding tools must not be used.
• Do not drop grinding tools and avoid sudden impacts.
• If a grinding tool becomes worn during use, the rotational speed at the circumference will be reduced. As a result,
when run at a constant speed, the grinding power will be reduced.
g) Handling, transport and storage of grinding tools
Grinding tools are fragile and sensitive to impacts. Special measures are therefore required:
• Do not use damaged blades or blades which have been subjected to an impact.
• Avoid vibrations during use.
• Avoid damaging the mounting hole.
• Avoid excessive stress on the sanding surface.
• Store grinding tools in a dry, frost-free location at a constant moderate temperature.
10. Care and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
housing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
•
Use a damp, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior casing. If this is not sufficient, remove stubborn dirt with a cloth
slightly moistened with soap solution. Avoid the build-up of dust deposits in the ventilation openings. Clean all
ventilation openings on the device to prevent the drive motor from overheating
