Intended use
1.
The soldering smoke extractor sucks in smoke which is generated during soldering and filters this through a
replaceable activated carbon filter.
It is approved only for connection to a standard mains socket. Do not use any other power supply. The product
may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, under any circumstances.
This product fulfils European and national requirements related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
CE conformity has been verified and the relevant statements and documents have been deposited at
the manufacturer.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them.
Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Persons / Product
Do not scratch your table top while assembling! If necessary, use e.g. a protection mat or several layers
•
of thick newspaper.
Attach the product only to a sufficiently stable table top. Tables made of glass, ceramic or stone tiles or thin
•
plastic-coated fibreboard are not suitable for mounting. Furthermore, you must not attach the product to
shelves or similarly unstable or unsteady surfaces.
Attach the product only in a suitable position. Keep the product’s strong lever action in mind.
•
Do not use the product to lean on or pull yourself up with.
•
Ensure that no objects are drawn in or sucked through the fan guard into the inside of the device.
•
The housing and the connecting line must not come into contact with hot objects such as soldering irons
•
etc.
The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
•
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material
•
for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture,
•
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
•
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
•
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
is visibly damaged,

is no longer working properly,
-
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
-
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the

product.

Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified

Positioning
4.
Ensure the soldering smoke extractor is always positioned above the table top.
The soldering smoke extractor must never be positioned directly above any person.
Clamp the table clamp to a stable, flat table top. Place the product directly next to the workplace.

Attach either the pipe connection or the deflector hood by sliding the parts onto the corresponding guide
•
rails on the back of the device.
Note, the pipe connection can be pushed onto the guide rail from one side only. If required, connect an
•
extraction hose to the pipe connection.
Loosen the retaining screws and tilt the solder fume extractor to the desired angle. Manually tighten the
•
retaining screws again.
The variable supporting arm allows the positioning of the soldering smoke extractor at the desired height
•
above the workplace.
Operation
5.
Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
•
Turn the product on using the on/off switch.
•
After use, turn the product off using the on/off switch.
•
If you will not be using the product for a longer period of time, unplug the mains plug from the wall socket.
•
Cleaning, replacing filter
6.
Prior to cleaning or replacing the filter, turn the product off. Disconnect the mains plug
from the wall socket.
Solder fumes are channelled through a replaceable activated carbon filter, which absorbs
the particles present in solder fumes.
When there is visible dirt, replace the filter regularly to maintain the filter’s effectiveness.
The filter must not become damp or wet.
Open the guard and remove the filter.

If required, clean the product with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any detergents or solvents.

Replace the filter with a suitable spare filter.

Close the guard again.

Disposal
7.
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
