Preference Settings
If you want to preserve the empty space of the hard disk drive
to some extent at all times for scheduled recordings, set the
Reserved Space
option to anything other than
Disable
. With
this option enabled, the digital receiver will delete the oldest
files. In the recorded programme list, the files about to be
deleted are displayed in orange or yellow. Orange-colored files
are older than yellow-colored ones. See §
7.2
for the recorded
programme list.
Sometimes a television programme begins or ends later than
expected so that the timer recording fails to capture all of the
programme. To prepare against such situation, you had better
set the
Time Padding
option to anything other than
Disable
. If
you set it to
15 mins
, scheduled programmes will be recorded
15 minutes longer at the end than the duration you have set.

To turn on the time shift feature
Time shift means that the most recent two hours of the televi-
sion service you are watching gets saved temporarily on the
hard disk of the digital receiver. When enabled, you can re-
verse and pause live television as if playing back a recording.
To enable this feature, set the
Time Shifting
option to anything
other than
Disable
. If you set it to
3 Hours
, you can go back 3
hours at most.

To play back MP3 files randomly
You can play back MP3 files continuously. To play them ran-
domly, you should set the
MP3 Play Mode
option to
Random

Adjusting the on-screen display
When a display such as the information box is on screen, you
can view pictures shaded underneath by adjusting the trans-
