ACPI Suspend Type [S1(POS)]
Use the
ACPI Suspend Type
BIOS option to specify the sleep state the system enters
when not being used.
S1 (POS)
(Default) System appears off. The CPU is stopped; RAM is
refreshed; the system is running in a low power mode.
S3 (STR)
System appears off. The CPU has no power; RAM is in
slow refresh; the power supply is in a reduced power
mode.
S1 & S3
Both suspend modes are implemented
Power Management [ACPI]
Use the
Power Management
option to set the power management type used by the
system.
Disabled
All power management options are turned off. The only
user configurable options are the power button and
alarm settings.
Legacy
Standby and suspend modes can be set.
APM
Advanced power management (APM) is activated
ACPI
(Default)
Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) is
activated.
x Standby Mode [Disabled]
The
Standby Mode
option can only be selected if the
Power Management
option is set
to Legacy. The
Standby Mode
specifies the amount of time the system can be inactive
before the system enters standby mode. The
Standby Mode
