Operation
Safety instructions for operation
Observe the following safety information for operation:
•
The operator must be instructed on how to handle the
control or the controlled door system and be familiar with the
applicable safety regulations.
•
Comply with the accident prevention regulations and
general safety regulations relevant to the field of application.
•
Check the control and the door system connected for visual
defects before use.
•
If you detect any safety-relevant deficiencies, decommission
the door system and report all defects to the responsible line
manager.
•
Have the deficiencies remedied immediately.
•
If the operational behaviour of the door system changes,
switch the system off immediately. Recommissioning must
be prevented. Notify the operating company of the change.
CAUTION
Crush hazard and risk of being struck by the
closing door
Persons can be struck when the door is closed
or collide with the door.
•
The door must be visible from the place of
operation.
Functional description for the door operation
The control allows for the selection of different operating modes:
Dead man OPEN / dead man CLOSE
By pressing the
button continuously (dead man function), the
door operation starts in the OPEN direction until the OPEN door
end position has been reached or the door operation is stopped
by letting go of the button. The door is closed by continuously
pressing the
button (dead man function) until the door end po-
sition has been reached. If you let go of the
button while the
door is closing, the door will stop immediately.
Access by non-instructed persons only with key switch
and in dead-man mode.
Pulse OPEN / dead man CLOSE
By briefly pressing the
button or by external pulse generators,
the door starts moving in the OPEN direction until the door end
position OPEN has been reached or the door operation is
stopped by pressing the
button. Pressing the
button again
continues the opening operation. The door is closed by continu-
ously pressing the
button (dead man function) until the door
end position CLOSE has been reached. If you let go of the
button while the door is closing, the door will stop immediately.
Access by non-instructed persons only with key switch
and in dead-man mode.
Pulse OPEN / pulse CLOSE
By briefly pressing the
button or by external pulse generators,
the door starts moving in the OPEN direction until the door end
position OPEN has been reached or the door operation is
stopped by pressing the
button. By briefly pressing the
but-
ton, the door starts moving in the CLOSE direction until the door
end position CLOSE is reached.
This operating mode requires the installation of a closing edge
safety device (menu item 35). When the closing edge safety
device is activated while the door is closing, the door will stop and
a direction reversal will take place. Activation of the safety device
has no effect when the door is opening. If there is a defect, the
door can be closed by the
button.
Pulsed operation
Initial pulse generation:
•
The drive starts and moves the door to the end position
OPEN or CLOSE that is set.
Pulse generation during the process:
•
The door stops
New pulse:
•
The door continues moving in the opposite direction.
NOTICE
Closing option in dead man mode
If a safety device such as the closing edge safety
device, light grid or photoelectric sensor is de-
fective, pulse CLOSE is deactivated. At this
point, the door can only be closed in dead man
mode. As soon as the faults have been elimin-
ated, closing in pulsed operation is possible
again.
AR operation (automatic closing)
By briefly pressing the
button or an external pulse generator,
the door starts moving in the OPEN direction until the door end
position OPEN has been reached or the door operation is
stopped by pressing the
button before. When the set open
time set has elapsed, a warning time of 46 seconds starts after
which the door will close automatically.
If the
button is actuated during door end position OPEN or dur-
ing door movement into direction CLOSE, the AR function is can-
celled.
After reversing 20 times during door movement into direction
CLOSE, the AR function is cancelled in the door end posi-
tion OPEN. It is reactivated with a new start command.
AR operation with reduction by photoelectric sensor
Function as described above, however, an interruption of the pho-
toelectric sensor causes the hold-open time to be cancelled and
the warning time starts. The door closes automatically after the
advance warning time has elapsed.
½ door opening
By pressing the
button, the door is opened up to ½ door open-
ing (menu item 32). This function is not available in the dead
man OPEN / dead man CLOSE operating mode and if a light grid
has been installed.
EMERGENCY operation
WARNING
Risk of being crushed or hit by the moving
door in EMERGENCY operation
Persons can be struck when the door is closed
or collide with the door.
•
For EMERGENCY operation the door
needs to be checked and found to be in per-
fect condition.
•
While the "Dead man" operating mode is
active, a clear view to the door from the
place of operation must be ensured.
EMERGENCY operation permits the operation of the door with
defective or tripped safety devices.
EMERGENCY operation is activated after 5 seconds of perman-
ent actuation of "OPEN" or "CLOSE" whilst E06 or E07 is dis-
played and is indicated by an F30 message on the display.
The control switches over to the operating mode "dead
man OPEN / dead man CLOSE".
