Turn the valve stem so that the ball is in the open

The valve stem will be parallel with the valve
flow and the ball will slide out.

Remove the stem retainer from the slots in the stem
port in the manifold (

Remove the stem retainer and valve stem seat from the
manifold (

6.
Reach into the manifold body and remove the valve
stem assembly (

Clean the inside of the manifold and exterior of the
ball valve, valve stem assembly, stem capture, and end
fittings.
Assembling the Manifold Valve
1.
Check the condition of the outlet fitting O-rings
(section valve manifold only), endcap O-rings, back
seating O-rings, ball seat for damage or wear (
and
).
Note:
Replace any damaged or worn O-rings or seats.
2.
Apply grease to the valve stem and insert it into the
valve stem seat (
and
3.
Install the valve stem and seat into the manifold and
secure the stem and seat with the stem retainer (
and
).
4.
Ensure that the back seating O-ring and the ball seat
are aligned and seated into the endcap fitting (
and
5.
Install the endcap fitting assembly onto the manifold
body until the flange of the endcap fitting touches the
manifold body (
and
), then turn the
endcap fitting an additional 1/8 to 1/4 turn.
Note:
Use caution so as not to damage the end of
the fitting.
6.
Insert the ball into the valve body (
).
Note:
The valve stem should fit inside the ball drive
slot. If the valve stem does not fit, adjust the position
of the ball (
).
