The following signal words and meanings are intended to explain the levels of risk associated with this 

product.

DANGER:

  

Indicates an imminently hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, will 

result in death or serious injury.

WARNING: 

Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, could result 

in death or serious injury.

CAUTION: 

Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, may result 

in minor or moderate injury. 

CAUTION:

 

(Without Safety Alert Symbol) Indicates a situation that may result in property 

damage.

Indicates a potential personal injury hazard.

To reduce the risk of injury, user must read and understand opera-

tor’s manual before using this product.

Eye, Hearing and Head 

Protection

Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply 

with ANSI Z87.1, along with hearing protection.  Head protection 

may also be required depending on the type of attachment used and 

as prescribed in the attachment’s Operator’s Manual.

Keep Bystanders Away

Keep all bystanders at least 50 ft. away.

Ricochet

Thrown objects can ricochet and result in personal injury or prop

-

erty damage.

No Blade

Do not install or use any type of blade on a product displaying this 

symbol.

Gasoline and Oil

Use unleaded gasoline intended for motor vehicle use with an oc-

tane rating of 87 [(R + M)/2] or higher. This product is powered by 

a 2-cycle engine and requires pre-mixing gasoline and 2-cycle oil.
